In 2015, Charles and Christina were wedding planning and they didn't want to settle on cookies, coasters, or chopsticks for their guest favors. If wedding planning wasn't stressful enough, they decided to make life more difficult by making candles for their first time! Although, the learning, mixing, and smelling sweet fragrances were pleasant, they decided never to do it again...

That is, until 2020 — the year of COVID and the world shutting down. With the rest of the world, CHARLESTINA (got em!) were at working remotely, eating six meals a day, and finding or reviving hobbies. And what they promised to never venture to do again, they did. They began to hand-pour candles out of their small apartment in Brooklyn. 

Many individuals and organizations in NYC took a hit in 2020 and our hope is that these candles serve as a light in dark times. Besides quality candles, our mission is to bring awareness and support to these organizations. 20% of the proceeds of each candle is donated to a NYC non-profit that serves and loves our city.
